How This Site Works
Every fare, journey time, opening hour and station detail here comes from the operator that publishes it — for Tokyo that means JR East, Keisei, Keikyū, Tokyo Monorail, Tokyo Metro, Toei, Narita Airport, Haneda Airport and the official Japan Rail Pass site. The source sits next to the fact, and each page carries the month it was verified. Pages get re-checked on a schedule, not when someone happens to notice.
Where a number is missing, that is deliberate. Several Japanese operators publish fares only through an interactive journey planner, and a few publish none in English. Rather than copy a figure from a travel blog, those pages link to the operator's own fare search and say so plainly. Tokyo transit content in English goes stale unusually fast — IC card availability, rail pass prices and subway ticket prices have all moved in the last three years — and copied numbers are how that happens.
Prices are quoted in yen, because that is what the operator charges. Approximate US dollar figures are given for orientation only, converted at ¥163 to US$1 as of 30 July 2026; the rate moves, the yen figure does not. Spotted something out of date? Tell us — corrections are the point.

Every figure carries a link to its source and the month it was verified.
Why are some fares missing from the pages?
Because some operators publish a fare only through an interactive search rather than a table, and a few publish nothing in English at all. Where that happens we link to the operator's own fare search instead of printing a number we cannot source. Copying a figure from a travel blog is how stale fares spread, and Tokyo transit content in English is unusually stale.
